In recent years, the State of Qatar has embarked on a transformative journey that harnesses the power of technology to drive progress, innovation, and improved quality of life. This journey, known as Qatar’s digital transformation, is a strategic initiative aligned with the nation’s ambitious Vision 2030. With a vision to create a diversified, knowledge-based economy and a technologically advanced society, Qatar is leveraging digital technologies to revolutionize industries, enhance government services, and empower its citizens.
Recognising both the opportunities and challenges posed by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digital transformation remains at the core of Qatar’s blueprint for economic and social development, the Qatar National Vision 2030. The State’s ICT spending is expected to reach an estimated $9bn by 2024, at a compounded annual growth rate of 9.2%, according to data analytics company Global Data. This comes alongside a $200bn government programme to invest in technology, as well as attract foreign investment and international talent.

WHY DIGITAL FIRST CONFERENCE

The world is witnessing a revolution in Digital transformation. Egypt has set its sights on becoming a leading player in the digital economy through its visionary strategy, Egypt Vision 2030. This ambitious plan places digital transformation at the core of the country’s development, aiming to leverage technology to drive economic growth, improve public services, and enhance its citizens’ overall quality of life.

In alignment with Egypt Vision 2030 and its digital transformation strategy, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has launched Digital Egypt. This comprehensive initiative aims to accelerate digital transformation and promote the adoption of digital technologies across sectors as part of investments are being made to develop robust digital infrastructure, foster innovation and entrepreneurship, and promote digital skills to its digital transformation journey.
